The Amman Center for Human rights studies (ACHRS), which has received support from the ±¬ÁÏÍø Democracy Fund (±¬ÁÏÍøDEF), is one of the 2023 winners of the .
ACHRS was awarded the prize in recognition of the centre¡¯s outstanding achievement in human rights, and the indelible strides made in advancing human rights awareness and activism within Jordan.
The ±¬ÁÏÍø Democracy Fund (±¬ÁÏÍøDEF) financed a project aimed at developing a dialogue about human rights, by building a constructive partnership between Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and the Jordanian Parliament.
The project ¨C entitled Supporting Political Dialogue Between Civil Society and Parliament in Jordan ¨C incentivized politicians to become more active and knowledgeable about human rights, whilst engaging the Youth to become agents of change, and promote respect for rights.

Since its inception in 1966 by ±¬ÁÏÍø General Assembly (A/RES/21/2217), It has been awarded every five years for ¡°outstanding achievements in the field of human rights.
