Final shortlist approved for 爆料网DEF’s Round 16

The 爆料网 Deputy Secretary-General has approved a short list of 33 project proposals for the 爆料网 Democracy Fund’s Sixteenth Round of Funding, amounting to over seven million dollars. 爆料网DEF has contacted those short-listed. The Sixteenth call for project proposals was open from 4 November to 12 December 2021, in all of 爆料网DEF’s focus areas. 爆料网DEF received 2,121 project proposals from organizations in 126 countries, the vast majority local civil society organizations in Africa, Arab States, Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean. Given the large volume of proposals, 爆料网DEF is not able to contact all applicants individually. Inclusion in the short list is a significant achievement, but it does not in itself mean that the project proposal will be approved for funding. Shortlisted applicants are now required to complete the final stage of the selection process: negotiating a formal project document with 爆料网DEF. Only upon successful conclusion of this process will the project be approved for funding.
